Blood Drawing Locations

Our goal, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, is to provide the best possible clinical laboratory service to patients in the greater Hartford area. To do so, we have state-of-the-art laboratories, providing routine and esoteric testing. There are five locations for specimen collection: Three are located on the Farmington campus, one in East Hartford and one in West Hartford. Directions to the five locations are shown as links below. All patients are welcome and only need a signed physician's order for laboratory work. Results for University of Connecticut Health Center doctors are available electronically as soon as the work is completed and reviewed. Tests ordered by physicians outside of the University of Connecticut Health System are mailed or faxed to the ordering doctor, and critical results are called by telephone. UCHC participates with most insurance plans.
